English Bulldog

It all started in 2009 with a 16 hour round trip to lake placid where we got our first baby English bulldog. The breeder had four other puppies in the back of her hatchback that she tried to sway us too saying this particular puppy would be better suited as a show dog, but we knew from seeing previous pictures that this puppy was ours. We named her “Butter” she sat on the back seat with my mother and daughter all the way home . We stopped once for her to pee and when we got home she got in bed with us and that was her spot from then on.

Butter had her first litter of one single pup by natural birth and three more beautiful litters after that. She was a very attentive mother who doted on each and every one of her beloved puppies. She was an amazing mother to all of our puppies whether they were hers or not. When My daughter got older and had a baby of her own that baby became hers as well.

She’s everything that we strive for in our English bulldog puppies from her amazing maternal temperament to her perfectly set wrinkles.

Butter passed away at the age of 10 in Feb. 2019 She left us with many wonderful memories and a spot on our couch that could never be filled the same way again. She has taught us that each and every being is special in their own way, lots of patience, and empathy. She will most definitely never be forgotten…Until we meet again my sweet girl, Rest in Peace.
